The volcano boarding trip itself was cool. Unfortunately, however, those guys only see the $$$ and pack a school bus full of 70 people at 37 degrees in the full blasting sun! Some participants had to stand for the entire trip (1 hour)! Mass-tourism at its best. The real horror started on our way back though. On the way back, it was mainly all about drinking alcohol and partying. At the very end one of the participants got very drunk and grabbed one of the organizers. Absolutely wrong, yes and he should have been kicked out and excluded from the party. But the way things were "solved" by the organizers was just violent. A guy with blond long hair who apparently works in the hostel ended up beating him up. When the situation finally calmed down halfway and the drunk guy wanted to go home, the blond long-haired guy came back once again and hit him from behind with full force in the face, so that the drunk guy passed out. He had to be driven to a hospital. Absolutely cowardly and pathetic. And the worst thing: some other guys from the hostel kept supporting the blonde guy. To everyone: stay away from this hostel until hopefully personal consequences are drawn and the blonde long-haired guy is fired. Probably will never happen though - so just stay away! There are many other organizers which offer the same trip. - via
