Company to stay away from = scammers / thiefs Very bad experience with the staff. Look for the competition instead To summarize: 1. Poor preparation and very bad communication from the staff. I had to re-schedule plans and it makes me lose time 2. Pilot using his phone during the flight - Dangerous and disrespectful! 3. Incomplete video and customer service ignoring messages when requesting the missing part. Very expensive price for the service provided! DO NOT TAKE IT! 4. Very rude and disrespectful customer contact. As soon as the money is cashed, they ignore you. Conclusion: Stay away from this company, they don’t deserve your money. --- 1.I booked a skydive 3 weeks before. The day before the jump, I contacted them to confirm that everything was OK for the next day They told me that the flight will not be possible because the weather conditions were not good (although the weather forecast for the next day was sunny and less than 10 km/h wind). They ask me to send a message early the next day to check again. I sent a message at 6am because I have to go to Tulum otherwise. At 8:30 am, they finally told me the flight is possible. Since I did not receive any answer earlier, I was already on the road for Tulum, so I decided to go back. 2. The pilot used his phone, placed on his thigh, during almost all the flight I imagine that this is not a big deal for a pilot who must have done thousands of flights of this type, but for a first time passenger, it is not very reassuring nor very professional. 3. I took the video which is 109$ USD per person, for me and my gf. So 218$ USD more in total. At this price, I was expecting another skydiver to come to make videos from the front and with different angles. Not at all, it's just a GoPro that your tandem skydiver uses. So, no extra cost to them other than buying a GoPro and a memory card… 30 mins after the end of our jump, we already receive the edited videos by email. It was edited quickly and the images are almost identical for 50% of the videos. My gf’s video is complete, although sloppy for the price. However, my video is missing most of the dive. I only have 2mins of my dive. At least 70% is missing. So I send a message to get the rest of the images. The next day, they told me to check again and sent me the exact same download link. I told them again that the video images were missing and from that moment on, they completely ignored my messages. Their silence is the main reason why I am writing this review because I find it completely disrespectful. An agreement could have been reached if there was an issue with the video, like a small discount. But since they decided to ignore my messages, I had to contest the transaction with my bank to get a refund. *Check screenshots of the WhatsApp conversation uploaded* 4. The customer contact was unpleasant from the 1st contact and this was confirmed at the end of my exchanges, when they decided to ignore me completely. 5. Conclusion: Do not jump with this company. It's a shame how they treat their customers, from the moment you pay, you are nothing to them. A total lack of respect and professionalism. Compare with the competition on the Internet before making your choice! PS: If the owner chooses to reply to this comment (in good faith I suppose...), I also invite him to check his messages on WhatsApp where my last messages were ignored =) PS2: You can check the other 1-star review, I’m not the only one reporting this kind of issues (scam on the video service, pilot who use his phone during the flight, etc.) PS3: Even if I have a bad experience with the staff and service of SkyDivePlaya, I really enjoyed my skydive. The tandem skydivers who jumped with us were very friendly and made the jump very pleasant. - via google
