I struggle leaving bad reviews but our experience was pretty sour on 1/2/23 - I even waited a week to see if my negative feelings would fade. I would never recommend a boat dive with this team due to our experience. In previous years we’ve used different outfits who take the customers desires into account unlike this operator.
We led up to a boat dive with a week of shore dives and were excited to get on a boat to go to dive sites we hadn’t been to on the west side of the island. After our first dive, which was good, we motored to within spitting distance of the pier from which we departed. My group questioned whether we were docking and found out we were diving the pier. We expressed to the captain that we had dove the pier on several occasions before (3x day dives, 2x night dives, for the record). He said we hadn’t been to the very end, and when we pressed further they we had indeed been to the end he hastily replied “this is where we’re diving”. He also insinuated the dive site, in part, was justified because you didn’t have to swim out to that spot, so it’s easy! No discussion, no conversation about alternative dive sites (I’ll note my group represented 5 of the 7 paying divers).
There were other contributing factors to my displeasure but my main grievance is the manner in which a clear desire to go to an alternate site was dealt with. - via
