Wonderful experience!!
My wife and I were total strangers to diving, but wanted to get the open water diving certification in order to explore the “other” world. I searched for a dive center that I felt would be gentle in terms of teaching because my wife had only learned to swim in the last two years and still lacked the confidence to swim in areas deeper than her ability to stand safely when worried. I have been delighted with my choice of Dawn diver because they are such nice people AND infinitely patient with all of our questions and difficulties in doing all of the training perfectly. Instead of the potentially 3 or 4 days that was planned, my wife’s and my progress were a bit slower and took 5 days to complete our certification. Rhona and her kind husband were so understanding and never pushed us to the point of feeling pressured to practice and master the scuba skills. Instead, we were able to be guided gently and confidently to learn them.
We were very fortunate to have our confined water dives held in the ancient Roman baths nearby. It allowed us full safety as well as a peek into the sea life. For our open water dives, Hannes was not only a wonderful guide that knew of the nooks and crannies where special creatures resided, but he also rehearsed with us some of the underwater skills we learned on the previous days.
All in all, I cannot help but recommend them wholeheartedly. They take a personal approach to teaching and it really makes a difference. The next time we are back in Malta, we will certainly go diving with them!! - via
