The equipment that I got was malfunctioning: the pressure showed 40 BAR (when you should go down with at least 180-200). The instructors told me to ignore it and that it's okay since it's only the display that is broken. I'm a naive person and tend to trust people so I rolled with it even though I felt uncomfortable.
I ran out of oxygen in the middle of the dive and finished it using the instructors' oxygen...
I'm a two star diver and know how to handle myself but I don't want to imagine what would be the consequences if the same thing happened to one of my friends who have zero experience with diving.
