I cannot speak highly enough of Freedom Scuba USA. If I could give a 6 I would! I have been coming up regularly, maybe 4-5 times a year for 4 years now. The service has been consistent. The boat is beautiful, roomy, clean. Coach, Mary, Scott, Pete have become family over the years. They are safety-oriented and put customers first! I have introduced many members of my dive club to them and everyone agrees - the atmosphere on the boat is unforgettable! They are honest people with good hearts and big brains. This dive shop is a gem with a rich history dating back to the beginnings of the sport. A family operation, the Hunt legacy is well preserved in a well-run operation with friendly staff and great service. They accept card and cash (despite the 4 star review on this page from years ago). Even if you aren't a diver, it is worth going inside just to appreciate all the trinkets (big and small) pulled out of the river and restored over the years. If you are in the area, I recommend driving down to Hunts for all of your diving needs and curiosities. It will be like visiting family - one of the coolest families in the dive industry.
- edit - came back again a year later - this shop only gets better. What a wonderful time we had diving wrecks of the St. Lawrence. Both Dana and Khris are absolutely wonderful and every interaction with them is a pleasure. - via
