The Dive Adventures team safely navigated the complexities of travel during a pandemic and we had a stress-free well organised fabulous dive holiday. They were approachable, professional and timely and thanks to their professionalism avoided issues some other travellers experienced. Also the prices were cheaper than if we booked direct because they arranged a package price for diving in advance which meant we paid significantly less than other divers on the trip. Highly recommend the team and we will be arranging future travel through Dive Adventures for sure. - via
Okay so we loved it so much we went back a second time. Last trip was in April 2022 and we could see that the reef was definitely growing back in particular the soft corals even during this short period. Recovering from a cyclone the magnitude that Fiji had suffered is taking a while but its getting there.
We saw some spectacular reef in particular "Blue Wall" which is a little distant from the resort but worth the trip for the spectacular reef and fabulous caves and swimthroughs.
This time we got to see a tiger shark on our shark dive. It was absolutely fantastic. We felt safe but it was definitely exciting and a dive I am keen to repeat as soon as I can. The Divemaster crew were very vigilant with our safety on the shark dive and had one divemaster for every two divers to keep us safe.
The resort was as always beautiful with delightful staff and I really loved the food (I don't have any dietary requirements). I think the activities were a little more professional on this trip, the fire dancing in particular was a really polished performance. Local village and school visits were fabulous (although I purchased a couple large shells from local villagers only to find that Fiji does not allow them out of the country at the airport and they were confiscated - fortunately I was not in any trouble though).
Showers are a bit hard to adjust the temp but otherwise the rooms are gorgeous and the view of the beach from the pool area is the stuff of dreams.
We took school items (pencils, books etc.) which were really appreciated. This trip we took a LOT of snacks because although the meals are hearty serves, there wasn't a look of choice of snack items in the boutique to purchase. The boutique had some really awesome clothes including some fabulous lycra suits. I dived the whole time in only a lycra suit and was very warm. My hubby wore a 3mm suit and said he would NOT have wanted anything thicker. We usually dive on the southern NSW coast in Australia so we aren't used the heat tbh
We booked our Trip with Dive Adventures. - via
