Less snow, less people. Feels more like a local (big)mountain than a destination resort. No lines midweek, relatively empty runs, good for avoiding crowds.
The snow can be patchy in some rare spots. Watch out for small tiny chunks of broken away rock even on groomers that can ruin your base. First time I had to get a base patch without going off piste in the middle of the winter.
There is a small general store that also sells adult beverages in the base area.
Not too many food options on the hill but there is a free shuttle to downtown. - via
