My husband and I had a 4-hour carving lesson with Federica, who was a superb tutor - local to the area but spoke excellent English, and was brilliant at explaining where we were going wrong, suggesting small changes we could make to improve our technique, and giving us drills and exercises to practice to help us carve on skis.
We met Federica at the ski school at the top of the Belvedere Gondola at 9am, and it was a very enjoyable lesson. Federica has extensive skiing experience, having competed in various competitions, and she was really easy to chat to. By the afternoon, we were both carving confidently! I am very happy with our experience - the lesson was excellent value (about 260 euros) as not only did we learn to carve and ski more confidently (and safely), it greatly improved our holiday and made the rest of our ski days much more enjoyable. Another thing I appreciated was Federica’s knowledge of the ski area, and so she wasn’t just teaching us to carve on the same slope, she also guided us around so we could practise on different pistes of varying level and texture. - via
