A relaxing boat ride out to two different diving spots. I have never scuba dived before and in fact planned on just snorkeling. However, Linda advised that conditions were too turbid to have a good snorkeling experience. So we opted to scuba instead and it was absolutely worth it. Joaquin, Carlos, Linda and Anna (I hope I got the names right) were all great. Knowledgeable and strict on safety but also pretty laid back and fun. I almost backed out because the wetsuits didn't really work for my legs which are fairly thick...but Linda found a short sleeve/leg suit that worked perfect.
I'm a decent swimmer at the surface but I certainly felt like I was just learning to walk when diving. But Linda guided me, kept an eye on my gauges and ensuring I properly equalized pressure. Super fun to look at all the variety of fish and urchins, we also saw a couple seahorses which are my favorite, along with an octopus.
At the second dive spot we opted to just snorkel while the others dived and the water was indeed a bit turbid, but we could still see enough for it to be fun. I don't think anyone would regret either snorkeling or diving, but if you get encouraged to dive because of water conditions, I would recommend taking it. 5/5 great. - via
