As a travel writer and photographer, I am privileged to meet with a broad scope of products and businesses around the world, so I believe it's so important to give credit where credit is due. As a diver and frequent liveaboard traveller, if you are looking for a luxury and extremely intimate diving experience, Adelaar Cruises is at the top of experiences. With only 4 cabins for guests, it feels very much like your own private sailing boat, stopping at some of the world's most spectacular dive sites. The food is brilliant, staff like family (some have worked on vessel for 25 years which says it all to me), interior polished and elegant, and if interested in the finer details, the air conditioning was a huge thing for me. I normally resign myself to annoying air conditioning on every vessel I go on - it just goes with cabin life. It's either hot and stuffy, blowing in your face, musty, freezing, whatever (a sore throat ensues). But not on Adelaar. Upon stating this, I was told there was indeed some intricate different system, that obviously works amazingly. I have nothing to fault about this entire experience and highly recommend it to anyone seeking a first class diving adventure. The location of Komodo within the Coral Triangle, also ensures that the diving you will do will be some of the most bio-diverse ever experienced.
