We all really enjoyed the day yesterday at the aquarium and Dinosaur Land for my son's 3rd birthday.
It was a much more relaxed atmosphere the the Deep at Hull, and there are some fantastic species of fish. Dino Land is an added bonus as my son is crazy about dinosaurs. We'd certainly return.
However, I've put 4 stars instead of 5 because of a few things:
Firstly, nobody acknowledged that it was my son's birthday over the course of the whole day, even though I added it to the special comments when booking online. A free drink, balloon, cupcake or even a shout out would've made his day, and so we left slightly disappointed. Not only did we pay £38 for a family ticket (which we have since found out that our friends had paid half that price through Wowcher), but we also spent £35 in the cafeteria, and £20 in the shop.
Overall, we spent £90, and they didn't even acknowledge my 3 year olds birthday after being specifically informed.
I'd be happy to change this to a 5 star if this review is acknowledged. - via
