I cannot recommend Daryl enough! I am an experienced PADI instructor and I hire a local guide because it’s smart and makes me feel safe in new places. I was blown away by how much effort and professionalism Daryl put forth. We were a group of 2, but his attention to detail and his love for his ocean environment were first class. He took care of everything and set up our gear, broke it down. His guiding was excellent. He was very attentive to us in the water and pointed out lots of critters. He is a one-man show, but his boat is excellent. He takes people to fish, scuba dive, & boat trips. While he was not the first name that came up, he was certainly THE BEST. Ocean Fox & Chad, whom I contacted first, told me he was having boat troubles and could only run a trip of at least 4. I’ve never heard of a boat problem that solved itself with more people on board- sounds like he didn’t care too much about business, but Daryl mentioned that he enjoyed the small, personal trips and prefers them. I also left Daryl 4 of my scuba tanks as it is hard to get supplies here…. How to get there: His boat is in Davis Harbor. We were extorted by a taxi man named Bertram Rolle, who told us he didn’t have any cars for rent, but would taxi us there, upon arriving at Davis Harbor (20 minute drive from Rock Sound) he told us we could rent the car for the day for $75 or the ride for $60. None of this was mentioned ahead of time. $60 20 minute drive! “It’s too late to rent because I already gave you a ride.” Don’t bother with those crooks. Either rent a car AT THE AIRPORT or pay Daryl a little extra for the ride, which we had to do for the way back. Miller’s Dive Shop in Southern Eleuthera is the absolute best!! - via
