Really cool experience. The highlight for me was relaxing in the hammocks on the boat and swimming in the river.
The food was really good compared to other food we had eaten in Bolivia. Efrem and the rest of the staff were amazing, the service was excellent.
The lodge itself is basic and overdue for refurbishment.
It was sad to see that the rivers had a few plastic bottles in them. The eco reserve and the nearby town had Coca Cola branding. I'm sure Chuchini do dispose of their bottles properly, so my guess is that the bottles come from Loma Suarez. I don't think they should be supporting Coca Cola if that company's products are damaging the local environment.
There were a lot of mosquitos so wear long sleeves and light colours (they are attracted to black and bright colours). - via
