A kiteboarding lesson with Alex of RAD Kiteboarding is one of the best things I've done on my many trips to the Caribbean- period. He is super professional, a great teacher, and very accommodating. If you're on the fence about kiteboarding, book a lesson (or two!) with Alex and you will for sure have one of the best experiences on your vacation.
A few things to note:
- if you're interested in kiteboarding or surfing, kiteboarding is both easier to progress and less physically demanding.
- if you can manage it timing-wise, three 2-hour lessons is probably better for your progression than two 3-hour lessons.
- Alex can teach in either the Condado/Parque or Dorado regions- Dorado would be better to learn at for sure (easier, safer, quicker) so try to go there if possible; otherwise, I would try to book lessons from 10-12 or 10-1 before the beach gets super crowded. - via
