I really loved the beautiful garden in the jungle, with big trees, bamboo, waterfalls and what not and also the Buddhistic/Hinduistic history of this place!! That's what the five stars are for! On the other hand,
I wish I had read the reviews about the Sarong scammers before though. They caught us already cycling in and were trying to sell us one for 350K and when I tried to get them down I ended up with a cheap, but at least beautiful one, for 150K.
We also got a guide (read: he got us), and it was obvious he will want to have money at the end, but I did not expect it to be 200K (or 15$). On the other hand, he was super nice and his tour was very informative and I would not have wanted to miss out on the Infos. According to him, he has lived and studied there since before 1977. And at first we only found 60K, which he took a bit grudgingly. Still have us his blessing ☺️ But we felt bad and searched our Backpacks to find a few dollars as well. Maybe try to establish how much you are willing to pay beforehand? - via
