Gorgeous ski town that hasn't been overrun by Aussies yet *cough* Hakuba/Niseko *cough*. Pick a spot halfway up the village for the best compromise between access to slopes and access to the main shopping/eating street. Apres ski is way better than any other resort in Japan!
