We had a shore day on Grand Cayman during our cruise, and we were in search of a good meal with a nice view. We had made reservations for the afternoon, but they were able to easily accommodate us when our plans changed and we found ourselves in town when the restaurant opened
You can see the cruise ships from the deck. We watched a small school of Tarpon feeding near the shore while we waited for our food. The conch fritters were very tasty and came 4 pieces to an order. We had never tried turtle before and found it to be quite delicious. We almost ordered a second plate. The lobster thermidor was rich and cheesy with large chunks of lobster. The tuna ceviche special was also worth a mention
Our server was friendly, attentive, and shared a lot about her experiences on the island, and had no problem calling us a cab to head to our next stop on the island
As in many places we visited on our trip, be aware that there's a 20% auto-gratuity added to your bill. Also, if you're coming from the US, the Cayman dollar is stronger, so be prepared to pay more in US dollars than what you see on the menu. None of these had a negative effect on the experience and are only included as helpful tips to set expectations for future visitors
I would definitely eat here again given the opportunity - via
