Hajla se nalazi na samoj granici Crne Gore i Kosova. Sa najvećim vrhom od 2403 mnv, ona je najviša planina crnogorskog dijela Prokletija. Njeni najviši vrhovi nižu se dugim grebenom u obliku nježno zaobljenog slova „S“, ispod kojeg se nalazi pojas planinskih livada, a još niže crnogorične i mješovite šume. Sjeverna strana ovog grebena pod najvišim vrhom Hajle je gola, stjenovita i vertikalna. Sa ovog grebena pogled se širi na Bjelasicu, Komove, Durmitor, Karanfile...
Rožaje je nekoliko decenija bilo jedan od značajnijih turističkih centara u Crnoj Gori i regiji. Od 1978. do 1983. godine formiran je turistički centar Turjak na kojem su se osim turističkih aktivnosti, održavala i savezna i republička takmičenja u skijanju.
