Worst customer service & management. Owner decided to "upgrade my room" without confirmation which caused double price just because i asked for a favor (to get a bottom bed if available/possible due to my knee problem). A hassle for 1 hour to get the price corrected & check in as the receptionist claimed the difference is due to taxes & fees. Seems like she can't do math as 16% VAT and 3% city tax can't double the price. The price i was given after getting back the original room i booked was still higher than my confirmed reservation. So I wanted it to be fixed which the staff didn't really help, again another unpleasant hassle. Had to contact the booking website but they couldn't reach to the hostel as the phone number they provide doesn't exist, there's no phone in the hostel i was told. They ended up complaining about me that they refunded me twice and that i screamed at them - to the card in the system (which isn't active anymore so they can't actually deposit anything, it has to bounce back) and in cash. I only received the cash. Can you share your security camera records showing me screaming? I have every right to be upset about getting overcharged and after chasing it for 3 days! PS: For me, this is all about attitude & treatment I received, not the money itself as it's a very small amount.
I had been told that the room is full so only 1 top bed is available. Actually the first night there was nobody in the room other than me and another guy so 3 available bottom beds! Seems like it was more convenient to "upgrade my reservation" rather than checking your system to see that the guests in the room already left so it was empty?
There was no soap in the bathroom for 2 days, staff didn't seem to be caring despite informing them twice. Common area has only one ceiling ventilator which isn't enough, very hot. No windows in the rooms. No doors in showers, only curtains. Staff is extremely unhelpful and unprofessional. - via
