I cannot say enough incredible things about Octopus Dive School and Nuria Corraliza.
I had never been snorkeling before, and neither my wife (An Die) nor I had ever been scuba diving. Prior to going to Roatan, I read a Facebook post where someone mentioned doing both of these things with Octopus Dive School and how incredible their experience was. So I started doing my own research and found many others who all said the same. I reached out to Nuria via email at first, and then we switched to communicating via WhatsApp. She was so helpful with everything - providing information and insights to all of our snorkeling/diving options available to us! She even provided some great recommendations for accommodations near the dive school. And she even arranged for travel (we were close to West End) on the days we went to the dive school.
While my wife had been snorkeling and was much more open-minded to scuba, I was a little more apprehensive on the scuba diving. So we started with a snorkeling experience. Bryce was our instructor and he was awesome!...helping explain things, and then guide us along on the experience.
It was so amazing it led to us committing do doing the Discover Scuba course the next day...which Bryce was our instructor for as well. Again, he was awesome. In addition to being great at explaining new concepts to beginners, his calm and supportive attitude really helped ease us into something that was completely new. We absolutely loved it and are definitely going back to Octopus Dive when we return to Roatan!
