Full and all credit belongs to the superb guide Alex! He took us (a small group of 4 bc it was the off-season) and we got an amazing and very genuine tour going through local communities, rivers, shops, and food! I have been to many countries and states within the US and I had the privilege of having the best ceviche I've had in my life out of a plastic cup and fresh squeezed lemon at the recommendation of Alex at blacksand beach. Had a very scenic tour and ended with a superb snorkeling dip near a beach I had never even heard of after 48+ hours of research for this vacation. And ended with a mini hike and being surrounded by at least 6 howler monkeys.
Point being if you take this tour you'll have a great time and see some amazing things! Can't promise monkeys Bbbbuuttt Alex if you end up with Alex you'll have a good time. Literally the only complaint I can muster is maybe fins would be nice for the snorkel bit, but the current did a lot of work for us and we just drifted and watched.
