We made 4 dives and 2 snorkels trips with White Sands and it was fantastic! Our original two dive excursions were rearranged due to the entire area experiencing high winds and high surf conditions which was not ideal for making it outside of the barrier reef. We were able to have a really nice dive in the Holchan Marine Reserve which was mellow and fantastic! Then we went to Share Ray Alley and snorkeled with the nurse sharks. Again due to the high surf conditions we had to cancel our Blue Hole trip, however we were offered a refund or credit towards other dives if conditions improved. We decided to take our kids (8 and 5) snorkeling, which the 8 year old loved and Captain Albie was awesome by being his personal tour guide around Mexico Rocks. Finally the weather calmed down and we were able to do a two tank excursion outside the reef to some very incredible diving, saw a giant loggerhead turtle, 3 reef sharks, and an amazing reef that was just full of life! Then we finished the trip off with a night dive around Mexico Rocks where we saw about 8 different octopus, a bunch of wondering lobsters, including the largest lobster I’ve ever seen, some moray and spotted eels, and several sleeping parrot fish!
I can’t say enough about the diving team, our Divemaster Juan was extremely knowledgeable about the diving locations, marine life we may encounter, conservation efforts of Belize, and most importantly our safety. When we come back to Belize, we’ll be diving with them again. - via
