This experience is really a MUST DO! I was hired to drive a group of six people ballooning. Turned out that one person couldn't make it and the group invited me to join them! James, the pilot, was an absolute expert at a skill he worked hard for. When he wasn't refilling the balloon with hot fiery air, riders felt an immediate sense of peace and saw firsthand what it must be like for birds. When you're on a plane, you can always hear a bit of a buzzing from the engine, even if it's a large plane, but on a hot air balloon there is COMPLETE SILENCE. James' crew was fabulous as well; they were in the right place at the right time when we landed and we never felt unsafe. I highly recommend this adventure! - via
