Went on the Hoover Dam and Hot Springs Hike tour in late January 2023.
I booked quite last minute but they were still able to get me on a tour and a permit for launching from Hoover Dam. I was solo traveling, and while there isn't a shuttle to the pick up point, the reception at evolution expeditions helped connect me with other people on the tour who were also coming from close to the Strip and we split an uber on both ends.
The tour was AMAZING. I had considered just renting a kayak and doing it by myself, but so glad that I spent the money and did it with a guide. So very worth it for all the in depth knowledge of the local ecosystem and history of the area.
Huge shot out to our guide Salvatore. He taught us so much about rattlesnakes, helped us find the mountain sheep (3 sightings!) and was great at adapting the tour to the groups ability/paddle experience. Our group of 5 were mostly folks that paddle often (I was probably the least in paddle shape) and we were able to move quickly and make a lot of quality stops at hot springs and other points of interest.
