We are SO SO SO happy we ran into Jemmy on the ferry to Tioman. We planned our Tioman trip hoping to dive again after 6 months. And we wanted our kids to do scuba diving lessons. We contacted many dive shops before coming and they all said they were closed until March. By luck we met Jemmy on the ferry and he said his shop is open because he is a local. He did dive lessons with my son. My son felt safe and comfortable and really enjoyed his experience. We did 4 dives with Jemmy. He was easy to understand. Communicated well about what to expect before each dive. He had good equipment. He made sure we did buddy checks and we're safe. He stayed close by during the dives and always spotted animals. We had a really great experience and will definitely be returning. I didn't know Tioman had such great diving. We saw turtles and sharks and stingrays and moray eel and cuttlefish and we're so impressed with the amount of under water life. All 4 dives were different and fantastic. Didn't need wetsuits (and I'm a baby about the cold) and the dives were really easy with barely a current and good visibility. I highly recommend Jemmy and Tioman. - via
We used them for a diving course for my daughter and some open water dives for the other 3 of us. The dive shop is really nice. Seems new and well built and nice lounge area. The guides were nice. Not the best we've had but nice. The equipment was terrible. We are currently diving in Bali and there's a world of difference between this shop and the one in Bali. Diving the Johor islands and the Perhentian islands we found the equipment at shops to be very sub par. Uncomfortable, leaking, wrong sizes of BCD and shoes (didn't have the right size). And the dive master wasn't as knowledgeable as I would have liked for my daughter's dive course. We found the dive sites in Johor to be better and the shops better equipped. We also got much better service in Johor. And everywhere else we've dived. We wouldn't return here. - via
