Beautiful, amazing place. So much bigger and more wild than most botanic gardens, with lots of trails you can walk of varying lengths and difficulties. I did a self-guided tour and the map and book they provide are very helpful. I saw so many birds here including keel-billed toucans which were a huge highlight for me. There is a bird watching shack near the pond where you can sit inside and see many birds in that area. There are also a couple of very friendly dogs who will walk with you for awhile and seemingly try to lead you down to the river. - via
