Went to this shop years ago to get initial certification. They offered pool verification along with a package that included a mask and fins. Did the certification and took home the gear that we were fitted with, then got a call saying we had “taken” premium gear and our credit cards would be charged or we would need to return it immediately. Even though we brought back the gear, the shop owner treated us as if we had done something wrong by somehow selecting premium gear (as scuba newbies) outside of what was offered (when the worker in the shop had helped us find the gear we wound up taking home). No thank yous for returning the gear, no apologies for the inconvenience. When somebody is unkind and treats you poorly, you never forget it. - via
