Over the years, school owner Vincent has created a well-oiled machine with the help of a large and highly professional team of employees and volunteers, all of whom can't stop talking about flying. It breathes passion for the sport, love for the hobby. A week course abroad has a good balance of practice, theory and fun in which everyone, regardless of his or her experience, can work on personal (learning) goals. The week of flying has flown by (pun intended) and I am sure that Paragliding Holland will guide me perfectly in my further journey to mountain license 2.
Safety is a top priority at this school at all times and this is well supervised by the existing instruction framework. These guard the limits of safety both in the air and on the ground and that feels very familiar. This not only struck me during the week in Italy, but this is also the case during the flying days on the winch on the various fields in the Netherlands.
In short: Highly recommended for the curious who wants to know whether this air sport is something for him or her, but also for the pilot with the necessary flying hours in the logbook who simply wants to practice the sport in a fun and safe way.

Afgelopen week (wk27, code15) met een kleine groep van Nederlanders en Belgen een week gevlogen in het Ahrntal in het prachtige zuid-Tirol (Italië), waar je ongeacht de windrichting kunt vliegen gezien de nabijheid van de veelgebruikte startplaatsen Ahornach (1,400m), Kronplatz (2200m) en Speikboden (2,400m).
Schooleigenaar Vincent heeft in de loop van jaren een goed geoliede machine gecreëerd met behulp van een groot en uiterst professioneel team van werknemers en vrijwilligers die allen niet uitgepraat raken over het vliegen. Het ademt passie voor de sport, liefde voor de hobby. Een weekcursus in het buitenland heeft een goede verhouding praktijk, theorie en plezier waarin iedereen, ongeacht zijn of haar ervaring, aan de persoonlijke (leer)doelen kan werken. Het weekje vliegen is voorbij gevlogen (pun intended) en ik ben er zeker van dat Paragliding Holland mij perfect zal begeleiden in mijn verdere tocht naar het bergbrevet 2.
Veiligheid staat bij deze school ten alle tijden voorop en hierop wordt goed toegezien door het aanwezige intructiekader. Deze bewaken de grenzen van de veiligheid zowel in de lucht als op de grond en dat voelt erg vertrouwd. Dit viel mij niet enkel op tijdens de week in Italië, maar dit is ook het geval tijdens de vliegdagen aan de lier op de verschillende velden in Nederland.
Kortom: Oprecht een aanrader voor de nieuwsgierige die wil weten of deze luchtsport iets voor hem of haar is, maar ook voor de vlieger met de nodige vlieguren in het logboek die simpelweg gezellig en veilig de sport wil beoefenen.
