I contacted Kerveli Dive Centre via email to arrange two boat dives (one trip, two dives). I am an experienced diver so via mail they advices me which dat the group would have a more experienced level. And this was correct, all divers were experienced which made for a relaxt and stress free dive. I also rented equipment. The equipment works well but is a bit worn out. No issues, just looks and feels a bit dated but worked fine. They did not supply a depth gauge or a clock. When I asked if they had one, I could get a dive computer which worked perfect! Tip; do ask them for a dive computer when you are not carrying one yourself. In diving it’s better to have your own stuff arranged AND rely on your buddy. The boat was small but that was no problem because we were with three divers, two instructors/dive masters. It was a RIB boat and they had a big outboard motor in it. Underwater there was a nice purple colored wall we dived alongside. It was nice and the experience from being underwater is always nice for a diver. Marine life was a bit disappointing. Some small fish, one moray eel and that was it. Of course this has nothing to do with the dive centre! During the one hour surface time we went to a different place and got a bottle of water. The only thing I really missed is the social aspect of diving. When I walked up to the dive location to sign up. There were two ladies who just gave me the forms to fill in. I started a small conversation but later when the instructors and other divers arrived, everybody was silent. The instructors did not introduce themselves (I don’t know any of their names). Neither did they ask questions or tell something about the company. During the dive this did not change. For me -maybe it’s personal- diving is also a social event; meet other divers/travellers and sharing stories. It is easy to change so hopefully next group gets an introduction from one of the dive masters, making it more personal and not silent! Nice touch; my family got to relax at the hotel pool during my dives! - via google
