We did three different tours (Granada Islets by boat, Mombacho & Masaya Volcano Night Tour) with Viva Nicaragua Tours and had a awesome time!
Our two guides Carlos and Cesar, were amazing. The were funny, friendly, helpful and had a lot of knowledge about the surrounding nature and animals as well as Nicaragua itself. Both spoke very good English, so that communication was no problem at all.
Reasons, why we would choose Viva Nicaragua Tours again for our tours around Granada and Nicaragua:
+ Staff was very friendly and helpful
+ Everyone (Staff, Guides, Drivers, ...) were speaking great English
+ Transfer vehicles were in very perfect condition, some of them even seemed to be brand new
+ Driver was driving appropriate, so that we felt very safe the whole time
+ Their office is located in the center of Granada
+ Prices for the tours were very good

During our stay in San Juan del Sur, we took part in one of Moke Huhu´s "Beginners Surf Lesson". We got picked up from our accomodation on time by Eduardo, the owner, and went with him to a cute little bar, which was located on the beach of Playa Remanso. There we first had a refreshing soft drink at the bar, before we were equipped with surfboards and a shirt.
The first 30 minutes we spent with the boards on the beach, while Eduardo was teaching us the most important surfing rules and how to stand up on the board to catch the perfect wave in the water. After that, we went into the water to try the learned theory in real life and we were really suprised, that we were able to stand our first wave during our first surfing lessons. That was way more, than we expected. Eduardo and Diego, the other instructor, helped us with useful tips on what we have to do and what we need to improve.
After the two-hour-guided-lesson we were allowed to use the surfboards during the rest of the day for free, so that we could try everything we learned today on our own, which was great fun. After that, we had some drinks at the beach bar and enjoyed watching the other surfers from one of their hammocks.
We had a great day and can recommend this experience to everyone. You won´t regret it. - via
