I recently got certified through Learn Scuba Chicago and had such an amazing experience that I opted to keep pursuing certifications to level-up my diving skills. ALL the staff are incredibly patient and passionate about their work. Bob, the head of the organization, has a superb team supporting the LSC mission of bringing NON-PROFIT scuba to the area and offering scuba to veterans, youth, and persons with disabilities. These awesome people VOLUNTEER their time and are the utmost professionals. During one of my first visits to the dive shop, Jason kindly explained in detail the what’s/how’s/why’s of the equipment I would need with no upsell pressure. And if they didn’t have what I needed, they could order it stat. I’ve been to other dive shops in the area where they expect the buyer to know what they need, and for a newbie like me I’ve been left feeling lost. Not here. And every dollar spent at LSC supports their cause and they offer a better range of price points than most dive shops. During my NAUI scuba training, all the teachers (Jason, Michelle, Clayton, Sebastian, Alex, Al, Max, Ruoxi, Rafi, Veronica…and if I missed anyone, I’m sorry!) were exceedingly patient, made sure that each diver felt safe and comfortable, they communicated the skills steps in great detail, helped build confidence with each skill that was learned, and genuinely made the process fun! I am forever appreciative of all the teachers who helped me get my certifications! This has been one of the best bucket list experiences and I cannot wait to use my new skills to dive around the world! If you’re looking to learn scuba, go with Learn Scuba Chicago! - via
