When we arrived at the beach, we were very surprised by how big the waves were and the number of people surfing in the small area for beginners. Just in the short amount of time we were assessing the situation, we witnessed several people crashing into people. Based on this, we decided it wasn’t a safe place to learn to surf. They told us it will be very crowded at least until Jan 10 so I highly recommend checking out the scene before paying for lessons ahead of time. - via
