My family of four with two children 9 & 10 did the kayak guided tour. It was worth every penny. Our guide was happy to give us information on the area, but also gave us space to enjoy the mangroves as a family. We followed him out in tandem boats with one parent and one child per boat. Life vests are provided, as is water, sodas and an assortment of granola bars. Boats were easy enough to get in and out of in the water and at the shore. Our guide was happy to adjust our site seeing so the kids could swim in the crystal clear shallow waters by the sand bar. It was good to be with someone who knows the bay well, and how wind direction affects water flow and kayaking difficulty. This is a smaller business that will cater to your wants and needs. They are very professional and eager to please. Bring a cash tip for your guide. Note there is no bathroom (for any of the boat businesses) at the docks so bring a sheet or blanket for changing at your car after the tour. Bring lots of sunscreen, hats, and water shoes! - via google
