My partner and I just finished our Open Water + Advanced Open Water with Andy’s Scuba Diving, and we would highly recommend this shop! We went with Andy’s because of Lisa’s quick and personable communication. She was responsive, patiently answered our questions, and did not seem transactional/soley there for your business which some other dive shops seemed.
Our experience was great. Our instructor, Gun, was super fun and approachable, yet professional and attentive to our needs and improvement areas. We spent a total of four days with Gun and appreciated getting his full attention and learning from his 11 years of instructor experience. He gave us pointers in very approachable ways, was very open to our questions, made us both feel comfortable and build confidence day by day, and helped us have FUN along the way.
I was already open water certified in the US (my partner was not) but I went along with him to refresh my skills. This was a comparably better experience than I had the first time I did Open water training and I think the differentiator was Gun’s teaching and coaching style.
