My boyfriend and I did a 4 day (3 night) tour with Matagalpa Tours and we LOVED IT. Our guide, Marlón, was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and experienced. He knew so much about animals, birds, plants, frogs, insects, etc. He was also very patient with us because we wanted to practice our Spanish. He even helped us improve our Spanish.
The tour was incredible. We stayed with local families, ate authentic food, and learned so much about Nicaraguan culture. We got to visit coffee farms, as well as farms growing beans and other crops. We also saw cacao trees and got to try a lot of fresh, amazing food. We also saw 12 sloths, lots of monkeys, different types of frogs, lots of birds, and so much more!
I cannot recommend Matagalpa Tours enough. We got to experience such an amazing part of Nicaragua. The tour exceeded our expectations and so did our guide Marlón! - via
