Visited Sandals Emerald Bay for the 1st time this month. Was nervous as I saw many negative reviews. Found that some were correct while others were not for us. Positives - The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The weather was perfect. Staff was amazingly friendly and welcoming. Pools were nice and plenty of chairs and Cabanas. Plenty of cocktails to be found. Negatives - Beach had trash on it. They use a sand rake machine and a lot of garbage is missed. I saw a left behind sneaker sticking out of the sand the entire week I was there. I challenge the management to please walk the beach and find it. No one is picking up the garbage. Very sad since their waters are beautiful and clear. Food was mediocre. Only had 2 good meals while there. Room was clean but outdated. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. On the fence still if we would go back again. I think management just needs to pay attention more to the details. - via
