My husband and I had a fantastic whale watching trip with CaboTrek on Monday 9 January 2023.
On the way out we saw sea lions and then 2 different pairs of adult whales once on the Pacific side. At one point, a whale came withing 15 +/- feet of the boat, which was exciting. Heading back, we came upon the trip highlight - a mother whale with her baby! Just awe inspiring! Then our driver, Adrian, spotted some juvenile rays and took us to see them.
Andrea was our tour biologist and she was very knowledgeable, passionate about the whales and personable. She speaks, at least, 3 languages so can communicate with everyone.
Adrian was a great driver and consistently positioned the boat so that we had the sun to our backs for good whale viewing and photo opportunities.
I also liked the company, CaboTrek, because they work with the local group(s) striving to protect whales, sea life, and the ocean.
I highly recommend CaboTrek, Andrea and Adrian and would go whale watching with this group again; although, next time, I might go for some diving instead.
