REPEATED GHOSTING AND REFUSAL TO REFUND MY DEPOSIT
March 2022: They took my deposit ($198 USD), and I booked.
July 2022: I requested to reschedule, in advance, and their team granted it. So, I asked for a new time. They said they’d see, but they never got back to me.
August 2022: After not hearing back from them and since I was leaving the country soon, I contacted them again to either confirm a booking or receive a refund of my deposit (which I am able to do, according to your policy). However, after asking for my name and email, they effectively "ghosted" me (ignoring various messages), until I had to leave the country.
August 2022: I contacted them again, and they didn’t answer my requests for a refund of my deposit, as I could no longer skydive with them (since I didn’t know when I would return to Mexico).
September 2022: on my third attempt to reach out, they directed me to an email to formally request a refund. I hoped that they could grant me my refund it in a timely manner. However, after agreeing to provide a refund, they refused to send the refund to my original payment method, stating that they stopped using PayPal in February 2022, even though they specifically requested I send my deposit via PayPal in March 2022. When I provided alternate options for them to refund me, they ghosted me.
Oct 2022: I followed up & no response.
December 2022: I followed up & no response.
Very poor customer service & business practices.
Thankfully, after being ghosted by Skydive Playa, I still got to skydive with another company before I left Mexico, and it was wonderful. However, the maltreatment by Skydive Playa significantly tainted my experience. - via
