Came to Cyprus for a weekend and decided to go for a two tank dive: amphitheater and church bay. Simple, yet relaxing two dives. Visibility was about 10 - 15 meters, but for the amphitheater wanted it to be a bit better.
Reception staff were super friendly! The dive master Pavlos was an awesome guy.
Some notes on what could be improved:
- Gear setup was in the Cydive parking lot. Would be nice to have some sort of a bench, so that my stuff wouldn't be just on the pavement and could organize better.
- For the Church bay dive, I think 15L tanks should be standard. The route is quite long and and if you want to admire the scenery more then from my own experience and some other commenters too you can come back to the sore with less than 50bar which is not ideal.
- Dive master was quite speedy so had to sprint a bit, but I mean it was winter for them and I'm a cold water diver, so I understand that they don't want to be in the water more than it's necessary ??.
So overall a good dive center. If you are very new in scuba, then amphitheater and church bay should be awesome. For me and other more experienced divers other locations might be a better choice. A relaxing warm and simple two dives. - via
