My girlfriend and I stayed with Peter and we were both very grateful for the experience. Not only was the balloon ride a beautiful and fun little adventure, but because we were foolish enough not to rent a car in Umbria, Peter shuttled is too and from the train station for a fair price. During our stay, since we had no car, Peter's ground crew chief Massimo gave us a ride to old town Assisi and picked us up again after a bit of exploring. Massimo then took us into the town of Spello where he brought us to a restaurant he knew. At the restaurant we were treated to great antipasti and delicious pasta as well as many other tasty treats.
At one point I asked Massimo if he was a celebrity in Umbria because it seemed like everyone we passed knew him, and they were all delighted to see him. It makes sense that people are happy when they see him because he helped make our time in Umbria an incredibly special memory. I can't say enough good things about our experience with Balloon Adventures Italy and I will recommend it to anyone and everyone I can.
