Great option for surf school in Manuel Antonio! Our local host connected us with Blue Horizon. The driver picked us up at our Air Bnb and returned us at the end of the day which was super convenient. The school is located on a beautiful strip of beach that is much less crowded than the main MA beach. Surf instructors were amazing with our kids ages 11 and 14 who were first time surfers. I loved that they had one instructor assigned to each kid so they were never alone out there and got lots of individual attention. It felt very safe, which is a concern with rip currents in this area. The kids were able to get up right away with the help of their instructors and got lots of great rides. The instructors even made an effort to get the two kids going at the same time so I could get an awesome picture, which was above and beyond. The staff provided chairs and an umbrella for the non-surfing parents for a small extra fee, and kids got fruit and refreshments midway through. Overall great experience--there are tons of surf schools in the area and I am glad we ended up with Blue Horizon. - via
