My wife and I (from Upstate NY) had a blast on this tour. Our captain, José, was courteous, knowledgeable, fun-loving, professional, and genuinely interested in our having a good and memorable time. (He offered to take pictures of us, for instance.) After a quick jaunt out into the surf/ocean near Luiza and Carolina, we went back into the lagoon and headed inland – up a river into some protected mangrove forests where we saw egrets, an osprey carrying a bass, a frigate bird, a caiman croc, iguanas sunning themselves in the trees, and more – all pointed out and explained by José. He also told us a little about the mangrove ecosystem, nearby properties, and some local history. All in all, a fun experience and well worth the price in our opinion! - via
