Returning from a remarkable half day reef snorkeling trip with Ocean Ventures (Suvasuva, Vanua Levu, Fiji). There were several things that made this trip spectacular. First, Ocean Ventures was very responsive with pre-trip communication. Meeting our group at the port, transportation to the day boat and the trip to the reef gave us a real sense of this beautiful place long before entering the water. We enjoyed two reef stops spending an unhurried hour on each. The quality of the reefs in this isolated and pristine bay is outstanding with a beautiful array of coral, fish, clams and more all in abundance. The visibility was excellent from the deep blue water outside the reef to the spectacular long coral canyons in the warm shallows. What made this trip especially memorable were the owners of Ocean Ventures who have a deep research based knowledge of the reef environment and a passion for sharing this unique ecosystem.
