We had a wonderful time on this excursion. We think it is a must do on VIeques. Our hosts, Sara and Captain John were So professional, gracious and knowledgeable. We had a great time on the boat, even had a chance to captain it thanks to the confidence and abilities of the ships captain John. Also, Sara promised a healthy reef (by todays standards) and she was completely right. We saw all kinds of wonderful Coral, some of it quite rare such as Elkhorn Coral. She also knew the reef so well that she was able to show us the homes of eels, octopus, and stingray. We got to see them all and alsoAas a special bonus we got to swim with a school of squid which was amazing. The other thing that was great was that Sara didnt just tell us to get in the water and snorkel around, she gave us an outstanding introduction to snorkeling, how to use our equipment, how to enter the water safely, how to snorkel on the reef without damaging it. We have plenty of experience snorkeling and despite that we found all kinds of helpful tips in what she had to say. Then she gave us a tour of the reef so we benefited from her extensive knowledge. And we had terrific drinks and great snacks. These are two sailors who obviously love what they do and are delighted to welcome guests to their home on the water. Dont miss it! - via
