With no prior notice from the management we arrived during a local holiday that meant that we would not be able to return to our hotel rooms during the first day of our stay. After a full day of diving we were suprised by the local staff that because it was a quiet day we were stuck far away from the hotel and could only return seven hours later.
I had to plead with a foreign dive shop employee to organize transport since the Bali Dive local staff were absolutly apathetic about our situation and refused to help. The resort dive guide and driver both did not tell us about this suprise constraint before setting out.
