I am not satisfied with my excursion with Spearfishing Today. Our equipment didn’t fit properly (gear-check happened after boat departure….). After one training dive and one hunt, we spent ~40min on a boat ride to be told we are turning around and we were done. I felt that we had to argue with the instructor in order to have a 2nd hunting dive.
Diego is a talented diver and spear fisher. However, he did not set us up for success to catch fish. He enthusiastically told us how he would watch check up on us. However, in the water, he swam away - most of my time was spent trying to find him, instead of finding eligible fish to hunt.
I didn’t give 1* because when had difficulty swimming, the instructor managed to keep me afloat and get me safely back onto the boat. Admittedly though, I had to call for help because I was not being watched. - via
