What a dream resort! Absolutely magical from the second you arrive at the Bali airport to begin your trip. This is above and beyond a typical 5 star resort, with the incredible staff (we loved our Kapten, Sarny) and getting to see the horses run along the beach every day. Upon arrival we were whisked through the airport and greeted with coconuts and snacks - they even already knew i was vegan and had a special snack for me. The horses are treated very well and can be seen along the beach at all times of day. We also did a surf lesson and were taken to Coconut Cove, where there was a beautiful Nihi outpost where lunch and drinks were prepared for us for our lesson, way above our expectations. The villas were gorgeous and we were upgraded upon arrival. They even had photos of us framed throughout the villa! I also loved how the restaurant had a mix of traditional Indonesian options and western dishes if you were looking for something familar. All were delicious and they easily accomodated my vegan restrictions for any dish. We also loved how there is a lot of focus on giving back and helping the community. When driving to the resort from the airport, we were struck by the poverty on the island as we were being taken to a luxury resort. It was very comforting to know that by staying at Nihi, you are contributing to helping the island and Nihi details out all of the projects they work on in the community.
