We had an amazing time with Wailea Scuba, Surf and Paddle during our stay at the Fairmont Kea Lani. My daughter and I went paddle boarding with our instructor, John. During our lesson, we paddled out away from the shore to get a little closer to some whales that we saw from a distance on the shoreline. On our way back, we had an unbelievable encounter with a mom and baby humpback whale that were about 5 yards from our paddle boards. It was incredible and so magical. My husband and older daughter also had the best time taking surfing lessons with their instructor, Jill. They both loved it! Jill was awesome (highly recommend!) and was a really patient instructor. They were both able to ride the waves by the end of the lesson. We highly recommend both activities if you are staying at the Fairmont in Maui! - via
