RENTERS BEWARE! These people WILL take advantage of you if you’re not from the Keys.
We went to rent dive gear to go out in the Gulf and wanted to give these guys business because they are veteran owned. It is true that no good deeds go unpunished because they charged us DOUBLE the amount the others places were charging and when we pressed them they assured us it was the going rate.
We went to other shops after renting this gear that indeed said we were ripped off.
Not only that, but the gear was absolutely awful. Busted BCDs and tank straps that didn’t hold.
Seriously, do not waste your time here but instead get your gear from literally anywhere else and make sure you do your research beforehand. Terrible! - via
